Job Description
Join Optum as an Associate Medical Coder! In this role, you will be responsible for coding medical records to index vital medical information, ensuring accurate hospital reimbursement and aiding in governmental planning. You will code inpatient and outpatient records daily while maintaining a meticulously high accuracy rate of 95% in ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 codes.
Your responsibilities will also include attending coding meetings for skill enhancement, demonstrating flexibility in your work hours, and fostering collaborative relationships with hospital staff. Candidates must be graduates, certified through AAPC or AHIMA, and have a coding certification such as CPC, CCS, CIC, or COC.
