CSA – TGT Social Science (CBSE)

Purpose of Role

To plan, prepare, and deliver effective Social Science instruction for Secondary School students (Classes VI–X) in accordance with the CBSE curriculum, fostering civic awareness, historical understanding, geographical literacy, and analytical thinking.

CSA TGT Social Science (CBSE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) to Classes VI–X as per CBSE curriculum.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
• Use maps, charts, projects, case studies, and discussions to enhance understanding.
• Assess, evaluate, and maintain records of student performance.
• Implement competency-based education and continuous assessment practices.
• Provide remedial support and enrichment activities as required.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
• Integrate ICT tools and digital resources in teaching.
• Participate in curriculum planning, academic reviews, and departmental meetings.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
• Support co-curricular activities, assemblies, and school events.
• Maintain academic records, lesson plans, and assessment documentation.
• Adhere to CBSE norms, examination guidelines, and school policies.
• Perform additional academic or administrative duties assigned by school management.
