Job Description
Cognizant is seeking an experienced IMS DB Application Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance tuning of IBM Information Management System (IMS) databases within a mainframe environment. This role ensures the availability, integrity, and security of critical data utilized by enterprise applications.
Key responsibilities include administering IMS DB and Fast Path databases, proficiency in IMS utilities, performance monitoring, troubleshooting in complex mainframe environments, and maintaining security measures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with z/OS and BMC tools.
Required certifications: Certified Database Administrator (CDBA), IBM Certified Database Administrator.
