Position: Hostel Warden (Boys’ Hostel)

Location: Brainware University Campus, Barasat, Kolkata

Type: Full-Time (Residential)

A reputed institution invites applications for the position of Hostel Warden for its Boys’ Hostel. The ideal candidate will ensure discipline, security, and efficient administration of hostel operations.

Minimum 4–5 years in hostel management or similar supervisory role

1. Administration and Management

• Oversee daily operations of the hostel.
• Maintain records of resident students, attendance, room allocation, and inventory.
• Coordinate with college/university authorities or hostel management on relevant issues.
• Supervise housekeeping, maintenance, and catering services.

2. Student Welfare and Discipline

• Ensure residents follow hostel rules and regulations.
• Address grievances, resolve conflicts, and mediate disputes among residents.
• Monitor student behavior and report serious misconduct to authorities.
• Support the emotional and mental well-being of students, often acting as a counselor.

3. Safety and Security

• Ensure the physical safety of residents by enforcing entry/exit rules.
• Maintain emergency contact protocols and conduct safety drills if needed.
• Monitor visitors and ensure proper entry logs.
• Coordinate with security personnel to maintain a safe environment.

4. Health and Hygiene

• Ensure hygiene and cleanliness in rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Assist residents during medical emergencies and help arrange medical care.
• Monitor food quality and dining facility hygiene (if applicable).
