Job Description
1. Cash & Bank Transactions
Record all daily cash and bank transactions in accounting software (Tally or DMS).
Maintain showroom cash register and ensure daily cash reconciliation.
Prepare and deposit cash and cheques into the bank on time.
2. Sales Billing & Invoicing
Generate and verify vehicle sales invoices and tax invoices.
Upload invoices into the TVS DMS and accounting systems.
Ensure proper GST bifurcation and application of discount schemes.
3. Purchase Entries
Record all spare parts, vehicle, and consumable purchases.
Match purchase orders, goods receipt notes (GRN), and supplier bills before posting.
Verify dealer margin credits and claims from TVS Motors.
B. Reconciliation & Reporting
4. Bank & Cash Reconciliation
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliation.
Reconcile showroom cash book and verify with physical cash in hand.
5. Ledger Management
Maintain customer, vendor, and staff ledgers.
Reconcile accounts with financiers, insurance companies, and spare parts suppliers.
6. Daily & Monthly Reports
Prepare daily cash reports, bank reports, and collection summaries.
Support monthly closing activities and generate financial summaries for management.
C. Taxation & Compliance
7. GST Returns & Filing
Prepare and assist in filing GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and reconciliation reports.
Maintain HSN codes, input credit records, and outward supplies register.
8. TDS and Other Statutory Compliance
Deduct and deposit TDS where applicable.
Maintain TDS records and generate Form 16/16A when required.
D. Coordination and Internal Support
9. Coordination with Sales & Service Departments
Verify sales documents, credit/debit notes, and delivery orders.
Cross-check vehicle stock with accounts and sales billing entries.
10. Support for Audits
Provide necessary documents and reports during internal and external audits.
Ensure all entries are compliant with company and government accounting policies.
