Job description The School of Social and Behavioural Sciences invites applications for the position of Professor to lead academic, research, and student wellbeing initiatives within the field of Cognitive Sciences and Psychology

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum Development: Deliver undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses in Cognitive Sciences and Psychology, Mental Health, and related areas within the School of Social and Behavioural Sciences and across its campuses. o Design, develop, and periodically update course content and pedagogy in line with contemporary academic and industry standards.

Centre Leadership: Lead and manage operations of Mano Layam – Rhythm of the Mind Center for Well-being at SSBS. o Formulate and implement strategic plans addressing the emotional, behavioural, psychological, and social wellbeing needs of students, faculty, and staff. o Regularly review and refine policies, protocols, and ethical guidelines to maintain high professional standards.

Student Mentoring and Doctoral Engagement: Mentor and supervise students involved in internships, research projects, and community wellbeing initiatives related to mental health. o Serve as a advisor/co-advisor/doctoral committee member for PhD scholars.

Research and Scholarly Activities: Conduct advanced, interdisciplinary research in Counselling Psychology, Mental Health, and Cognitive Sciences. o Publish in reputed national and international journals and present findings at academic conferences. o Actively pursue research funding, grants, and collaborative projects to support and enhance the SSBS initiatives
