Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our esteemed educational institution. As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering strong language skills, promoting a love for literature, and developing effective communication abilities in students. The ideal candidate will have a solid command of the English language, excellent instructional skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring students to become lifelong learners.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive English language and literature lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
• Teach various aspects of English, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and literary analysis, to students at the assigned grade level(s).
• Utilise a variety of instructional methods, resources, and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and creativity.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Cultivate a love for literature by introducing students to a variety of literary genres, authors, and works.
• Develop students’ writing skills, including essay composition, creative writing, and effective communication.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the English curriculum, ensuring its alignment with educational standards and objectives.
• Stay updated with current trends, research, and best practices in English language and literature education, integrating innovative and effective instructional techniques into lessons.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with parents/guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders to support student development.
• Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and workshops to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of the latest developments in English education.
• Perform administrative tasks, including grading assignments, maintaining attendance records, and preparing progress reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Teaching certification or license in English or relevant subject area.
• Proven experience teaching English language and literature to students at the assigned grade level(s).
• Strong command of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
• Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes language acquisition and effective communication.
• Proficient in integrating technology and digital resources into English instruction.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and adapt to changing educational trends.
